Abstract

The growing demand for research and development related to technological innovation in the aerospace sector has prompted the steel industry to design new material concepts for such an application. As excellent properties of Advanced High Strength Steels, especially TWIP (Twinning Induced Plasticity) steels, they make them promising for a fabrication of structural components of transport structures. An addition, of alloying elements (Al, Mn) is proportional to the increase of the mechanical strength in a high ductility, increasing the interest of investigations related to weldability condition. Within this aspect, this work has no effect process of welding a TWIP steel sheet laser, in order to identify and understand an influence of different process conditions no mechanical performance in the region of weld. The mechanical and microstructural behavior of the TWIP steel when subjected to the laser welding process will be evaluated in order to understand the influence of changes in process parameters on weld quality and material performance through mechanical and microstructural characterization procedures.
