Abstract

The development of a software that is capable of estimating the nutrient concentration of the diagnostic leaf from an image obtained in the field is a tool that can be used quickly and easily by farmers to monitor the nutritional status of the pasture. The use of this would precede the laboratory analysis of tissues or soil analysis, since it already returns to the producer if the plant has deficient or sufficient status of a given nutrient. In addition, it would be possible to monitor per quadrant or picket in a given area, increasing the viability of fertilization and contributing to cost reduction, since fertilization could only be carried out in areas where pasture is deficient instead of total area.
