Abstract

The study of emotions has presented a relevant increase in the current years. Moral Emotions are located in one of the emotions categories. They are a set of physiological and cognitive processing changes, that shows as consequence the establishment and maintenance of the social and human structures integrity. The present study aims to investigate the influence of an evocative disgust stimulus exposure in respect to moral judgement to a specific social group of refugees. This study was construct based on a previous literature of emotional processing on the moral judgment. In order to reach this goal an experiment will be construct in order to exposure the volunteers under evocative stimulus of disgust using a marketable Fart Spray. Hundred twenty participants will be used and subdivided in three different conditions: exposure to highly negative odor, slightly negative odor and neutral odor condition. During the disgust exposure, all participants will perform two tasks: moral vignettes judgment and moral vignettes relative to refugees judgment. This study will brings theoretical contribution on the moral judgement and emotions literature. Furthermore, it will bring knowledge to the current humanitarian crisis scenario that involves the refugees, that was theoretical reference scarce. (AU)
