Abstract

This research project presents as main objective the ethnography of the expressive plane of kaingang politics. Extending the understanding of the political domain to the shamanic fields of action as well as to the ethnography of the feasts, its descriptive focus will be directed to the feast of Kiki and the Meeting of Kujãs, events in which kaingang people engender diplomatic relations with different forms of otherness (human and non-human). It will be sought, from the description of acoustic-sonorous plans and their relations with other expressive systems (verbal, choreological, ornamental arts), to reflect on kaingang forms of communication, diplomacy and resistance in the contemporary scenario.
