Abstract

From the increasing popularization of the internet around the world, social networking services have become important means for obtaining and consuming information and interacting with others. Currently, the largest of them is "Facebook," which has more than 1 billion active users. Considering the social changes that occur from the creation and implementation of new technologies, we will do a theoretical study of the initial interface of Facebook, the "News Feed". For this, we will use the studies of Don Ihde (1990), which are part of the phenomenological approach of the Philosophy of Technology, seeking to understand the relationship that exists between users and their technological artifacts.
