Abstract

The present study intends to bring analytical elements from the process of inquiry of the musical elements present in treatises of musica prattica published in Italy during 1520 and 1590. By the method of rationalization of the musical practice according to the precepts of theorica music, these treatises prove significant Sources of an analytical consciousness veiled by precepts that underlie the art of counterpoint. The multiple information generated from this process will be organized as a foundation for a contextualized analytical approach. (AU)
