Abstract

Among the materials of choice, acrylic resin is the most used for the preparation of prosthesis infrastructure and temporary prosthesis bases and for achieving the clinical success and longevity of the definitive prosthesis, it is essential to know its properties and the polymerization process most suitable for this material. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the influence of different polymerization methods, such as conventional, dry heat and digital peneumatic polymerization on the color stability, microhardness and flexural strength of a light-cured acrylic resin (LC / Dencor, Classic Ind. and Com., São Paulo, Brazil), before and after thermocycling. 90 samples of RAAT will be made, so that 30 samples will be submitted to color change and microhardness tests and will be divided into 3 groups (n = 10). The groups will be randomlydivided according to the type of polymerization the samples will receive, which will be conventional, by dry heat and digital pneumatics. The tests of color stability, microhardness and flexural strength will be performed before and after 2000 cycles of thermocycling. The quantitative data will be submitted to the test of adhesion to the normal curve, being applied appropriate statistical test for the comparison of the average values. (AU)
