Abstract The aim of this study is to compare through histomorphometric analysis the tissue repair of wounds in the back of rats created by incisions performed with three different types of instruments (diode laser, electrocautery, and conventional scalpel) in different periods of the healing process. Therefore, 30 male rats (Rattus novergicus albinus, Holtzman variety) with a body weight of 350g and age varying between 3 to 4 months will be selected. All animals will receive the incisions by the three methods (diode laser, electrocautery, and conventional scalpel) and will be randomly divided into 5 groups with 6 animals each group according to the experimental period (G1: 24 hours after the surgery; G2: 48 hours after the surgery; G3: 72 hours after the surgery; G4: 7 days after the surgery; G5: 14 days after the surgery). After samples histological processing and histomorphometric analysis, the data will be collected and submitted to statistical analysis. (AU) | |
