Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the production of methane of Nellore steers growing in pastures of Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu (0, 90, 180 and 270 kg ha-1year-1) divided into three expletives of the rainy season and arranged in a completely randomized design with three replicates (pickets) per treatment, where each picket accommodates two animal testers. Nitrogen fertilization is expected to promote the improvement of the nutritional value of the forage plant, which may interfere with the enteric methane emission by grazing animals. (AU)
