Evaluation of fertigation and fertilizer polymer on culture of grape tomato from the management by capacitance sensors and time domain reflectometry (TDR)

Abstract

The lack of efficient alternatives for fertilization in greenhouse that do not cause salinization of the soil as is the case of fertirrigation is evident, because of this new technologies are introduced to meet the needs of the agricultural market. The objective of this work is to test the efficiency of fertilizer polymers compared to fertigation in the tomato culture, using moisture sensors to automate the management of irrigation and verify the interaction of these with the fertilizer polymers. The experiment will be held at the CCA/ UFSCar, in a greenhouse, the experimental design will be in a randomized block, composed of 4 interactions with 3 repetitions, totaling 12 plots. The interactions that will be assessed are Fertirrigation x TDR; Fertigation x Capacitance; Fertilizer polymers x TDR; and Fertilizing polymers x Capacitance; soil moisture being monitored by Flower power sensors (capacitance) and TDR100. The tomato Grape seedlings will be transplanted about drip superficial lines. Qualitative and quantitative parameters will be assessed as fruit size (length and diameter), number of fruits, fruit mass, pH and Brix. In addition, at the end of the experiment will be collected leaves of the plants and made leaf analyses and evaluation of fresh and dry mass of the root, leaf and stem, as well as the root volume.
