Abstract

Power Systems State Estimation have been the focus of several research since the end of the 1960 e it has been consolidated as a fundamental tool for real time modeling of electrical networks. However, recent development in this topic have been searching for a wider application of this process in Distribution Systems. In this context this project aims at improving the development of state estimators for distribution systems, trough the establishment of a partnership, between two research groups of excellency in this topic, by exchanging expertise, diagnosing problems e proposing solutions, focusing, mainly, in the following topics: state estimation based on the Information Theory and state estimation within the concept of multi-areas, focusing the application in distribution systems.
