Abstract

His project aims to develop a study of legislation to the regulation of rural labor in Brazil between the 1930s and the 1964 civil-military. The research will take place from the legal norms inserted into the database " Legislation: Workers and Labor in Portugal, Brazil and Colonial Africa" (http://www.ifch.unicam.br/cecul/ lex/web/). Based on the bibliography and a specific set of laws, the scholarship holder will prepare a brief essay on the process of creation and expansion of rural workers' rights in Brazil, focusing on the Statute of the Rural Worker of 1963, which granted rural workers the rights hitherto valid for urban wage earners.
