Abstract

Aiming to contribute to the historiographic studies of Psychoanalysis in Brazil, this project seeks to comprehend, through the analysis of the scientific-literate psychoanalytic production of the dictatorial period in the country (1964-1985), how the psychoanalytic institutions positioned themselves during the dictatorship and how they interacted with the social reality during this period. From that, it is aimed to investigate specific waves of questioning and transformations of the Brazilian Psychoanalysis in its social insertion. The research also seeks to analyse and explore the nature of the psychoanalytic production of this period, in order to through some light on the type of Psychoanalysis that was being thought, developed and practised during times of political repression in the country. For that, we mapped the main themes, the theoretical strains, the clinical, institutional and political discussions, among other aspects that can inform about the characteristics of the knowledge production of psychoanalysis in the period investigated.
