Abstract

Anaerobic digestion (AD) has shown to be a path of future in the face of the large amount of organic residues produced in the households and in the face of the inexpressive fraction of the use of these residues in Brazil. In this context, biomethane plants represent an important instrument for changing the fate of this large amount of organic waste that is sent to the soil disposal methods. This type of plant, under construction at the Organic Residue Recovery Center (EWC) at EACH, requires fundamental studies in the area, highlighting the AD of household organic waste. Thus, this project has as main objective to evaluate the operation of the AD in a biomethane plant to be built in container in the EACH and using the organic residues domiciliares. The monitoring of the AD process will be carried out through the analysis of pH, humidity, C / N, volatile solids, hydraulic detention time and temperature. From the results obtained, it will be possible to evaluate the efficiency of the mobile biomethane mill to be applied to the community and the benefits of this type of system in relation to the Brazilian solid waste management model.
