Abstract

The aim of this research consists in the diagnosis and analysis of the spacial-temporal distances between some of the main localities in Portuguese America, and also from these localities in relation with the European and African continent, as so as other American spots. We pretend, by this analysis, to verify the social construction of the Luso-American space and its temporaries in the XVIII century, as well as its political and economic dynamics and its relation with the transformations that occurred.
