Abstract

In this undergraduate research project, we intend to evaluate the behavior of Morita-Baylis-Hillman in halo-etherification reactions aiming at the formation of polysubstituted 3- and 4-membered heterocycles. We also intend to evaluate the selectivity for the formation of epoxides and oxetanes and the diastereoselectivity attained, specifically on the generation of epoxides. (AU)
