Abstract

This project aims to identify the experiences that the Indian-Indian groups of the Vanuíre Village maintain with the plant species. The methodological practices are based on the ethnobotanical survey through oral history and social cartography to inform future decisions, whether in the educational, political or administrative area. Based on humanist Geography, we seek a connection between the tangible and intangible representative narratives, landscapes and habits, considering the spatial feelings and the ideals of the community from the feeling and the imagination at the threshold of the spaces traditionally, pragmatically and scientifically conceived, evidencing, for through the concept of place, particular observations of the subjects and their relations with the world. We hope, with the theoretical and methodological bases adopted in this project, to reach the potential of representativeness, autonomy, dialogue between knowledge and authorship of their stories through maps, fortifying life, culture, knowledge and traditional practices to be identified in front to the movement of time.
