Abstract

The development of the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) is a tendency for the interconnection and integration of automation and industrial informatics systems and equipment, promoting the availability of the necessary information for the best production decisions and management. In this project, it is proposed the study and implementation of a sustainable energy IoT system for flow measurement in industrial processes. The development of the project consists in the construction of a model of flow measurement system powered by a micro hydro generator that transforms kinetic energy from the fluid motion into electrical energy and thus perform the analysis of the feasibility of this solution. In addition to using renewable energy, the system must be able to transmit data online, allowing the verification of these data through several IoT platforms. This proposal uses flow measurement techniques, energy consumption analysis of microcontroller devices and implementation of industrial wireless communication, in order to obtain an optimized and integrated system to IoT, enabling the feasibility analysis of solution.
