Abstract

As a research stage which intends to analyze ways of being a historian at the postgraduate formatting moment in Brazil, this project will concentrate on the intellectual French historian Adeline Daumard’s itinerary, approaching it between the tensions of French historiography and the Brazilian historiography refuge. In this course, in order to understand how Daumard became a Labroussian social history practitioner, we will interpret the theoretical-methodological alignments, we will analyze the production places, the intellectual constitution and institutional networks, the insertion process in Brazilian historiography in the decades of postgraduate rules delineation and then we will problematize the woman’s sinuous way to conquest an university post in Paris in the decritical conjuncture to its historiographical references. Moving from a university environment with a male predominance, it is necessary to ask: how did the author reinvent herself from the Brazilian reception, what were the meeting’s effects, in what measure did she contribute to make social history in France and Brazil, in the inverted crossing, how did Brazilian historiography spark her new criticism and rise to other investigative perspectives? To answer these questions we will wander to the professional insertion places and her vast personal collection deposited in the Archives Nationales site Pierrefitte-sur-Seine. (AU)
