Abstract

Nowadays, the pharmaceutical companies have scalable strategies for designing medicines containing poorly soluble drugs. It is estimated that approximately 60-70% of the drugs candidates have low solubility in aqueous medium and/or low permeability. So, using these strategies can to improve the absorption of drugs. Trans-resveratrol (RES) is a class II, biopharmaceutical classification system, it has low solubility in water and high permeability. Moreover, this molecule has been exhibited excellent biological properties, such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidants, which is attractive for skin and mucous membranes. The aim is to develop, characterise and evaluate the performance of nanosuspensions of RES-loaded gels and adhesives for potential application on skin and / or mucous membranes for improvement of pharmacological action.
