Abstract

Since the early 1980s, HIV / AIDS has become a serious public health problem for Brazil, as changes in its initial profile have taken place, which has led to the feminization of the disease. In Western capitalist society, today this reflex is based on patriarchal ideologies and actions, which condition women to situations of vulnerability. For this reason we aim to understand the reality of women facing HIV / AIDS, seeking to elucidate the different relationships that are configured on the vulnerability of gender and space. In order to achieve this objective, we base qualitative research as a work tool, which is based on the systematization of the Grounded Theory that allows discourse analysis and the understanding of subjects' lives. Women living in the municipality of Presidente Prudente with HIV / AIDS will be considered as these subjects of the research. (AU)
