Abstract

HIV/AIDS is currently one of the diseases that has affected the world's population the most, as it manifests itself as a problem that crosses all scales, reaching different segments, from the local to the global. Thus, we take as a cut of the proposal one of the places that express a greater need for interpretation, due to its conditions against the world context and HIV/AIDS, specifically, we will address the issue in Maputo - Mozambique. In this proposal we aim to understand the geographical context experienced by women living with HIV/AIDS in the city of Maputo, seeking to analyze the geographical context where these women live through the situation of vulnerability related to gender and health services. For this, we will seek to conduct interviews with the representatives and leaders involved with this issue in that African country. In this way, we hope that the present project offers clues and indications that can contribute to the studies of Health Geography, and that thus serves as a foundation for other studies as proposals of planning, transformation of relations, institutional changes, among other possibilities, once that these assumptions are anchored in the initial results of the developed mastership research (Space and gender: vulnerability of HIV/AIDS seropositive women in Presidente Prudente - SP [process: 2018 / 05706-2]), with the intention of establishing relationships between the results found in the research cited above as in the one proposed.
