Abstract

To assessment biomechanics of the gait performance and quality of life of transtibial and transfemoral amputees submitted to the rehabilitation. Methods: Randomized controlled trial study. Sixty-two patients will compose the sample both sexes with age between 18-50 years. The group will be randomized and divided into two groups, the intervention group and non-intervention group. All subjects will be submitted to the questionnaires of quality of life and the tools to assessed the lower limb perimetry, the muscular strength, proprioception and the biomechanics of the gait. Therefore, we will use isokinetic dynamometer, bone densitometry exam, kinetic and kinematic. Expected results: It is expected that at the end of the intervention with the development of the rehabilitation protocol applied to the group of amputees patients, these individuals have a better physical conditioning and better adaptation to the prosthesis, positively reflecting on the quality of life, improvement the biomechanics of the gait and a quick reintegration into their social activities.
