Abstract

This research project proposes to combine the theoretical matrix of unhappenings, based on the journalistic dynamics of Eliane Brum (VENTURA E ABIB, 2015, 2016, 2017), to the narrative of the Spanish journalist Bru Rovira, in order to show, in works representative of his professional trajectory, how this propositive scope is configured, as news value and narrative apparatus. In this sense, the "Comprehensive Method" (KÜNSCH, 2010) is used to focus on the books "Solo pido un poco de belleza" (2016) and "Áfricas: cosas que pasan no tan lejos" (2006), to identify those elements that allow us to characterize and define journalism of unhappenings as a universe of practices alternative to traditional media circuits, manifested by the news of unmarked facts (SODRÉ, 2009) and by dialogical-affective devices (BUBER, 1982; MEDINA, 2006) and by complex-comprehensive devices (KÜNSCH, 2000; MORIN, 2003). In this way, it hopes to add new interpretative subsidies to the construction of the theory of unhappenings, verifying its pertinence as a potential narrative path to report the contexts of social actors that are located outside the hegemonic public and mediatic interest.
