Abstract

The project proposes a research on ethics in the work of Arthur Schopenhauer, deepening the studies developed in the masters and doctorates, from an interpretation that considers the concept of guilt (Schuld) as a fundamental focus for the understanding of the foundations of the position of the philosopher a favor of a moral ordering of the world. This foundation is examined in relation to the legitimacy of human and world imputability, from the conception of an immanent metaphysics. It is intended to examine how the philosopher sustains the approach of his philosophy of dogmatic aspects of Christianity as the notion of original sin and the approach to Luther's conception of the problem of free will (servant-will thesis). To this end, a study of the problem of moral order in the recent production of Professors Rudolf Malter, Mathias Koßler and Stephan Grätzel, focusing on the relationship between Schopenhauer's philosophy and Christian theology, especially from the influence of Luther and from the perspective of the problem of guilt. The project proposes a research supervised by Prof. Mathias Koßler, president of Schopenhauer Gesselschaft, at the "Die Schopenhauer-Forschungsstelle" research center at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität-Mainz, and at the Schopenhauer Gesselschaft in Frankfurt and study seminars at the University of Mainz. It is also proposed a collaborative work with the researchers. Domenico Fazio and Prof. Fabio Ciracì from the Centro Interdipartimentale di ricerca di Arthur Schopenhauer and his scuola dell'Università del Salento, based in Lecce, Italy, responsible for the work of recovery and historical-critical systematization of the so-called "Schopenhauer School" (Schopenhauer-Schulle).
