Abstract

By focusing on a topic little addressed by the historiography of architecture, this research project intends to investigate the relation between the ideals of domesticity and the Taylorism industry logic applied to the domestic economy, with a focus on the woman's figure. The study will analyze the propagation of those ideals at the time's periodicals, with the Revista Feminina as the center of the research. This magazine has been in circulation between 1914 and 1936 in the city of São Paulo and has reached national level within the years. The research intends to associate the analysis of the bibliography and the traditional history of the architecture sources with the non-scholarly alternative sources, as the referred magazine. In this way, there is an interest in researching in primary sources in order to create an approach with the São Paulo society's dynamics of the 20th century. (AU)
