Abstract

Process of fluvial captures occurring due to a difference in level of bases between drains, some rivers erode more aggressively than others adjacent and the point where this phenomenon occurs generates features in the relief, for example, the capture elbows and dry valleys. Palynological analyzes of quaternary deposits are used to elucidate paleoclimatic, palaeogetational and paleoenvironmental questions, so the palynology technique will provide complementary material for completed and future studies, as well as data from LOE, 14C, macromorphology, morphoscopy, granulometry, collected previously, some systematized in tables and others in processing. Through partnerships with CENA-USP, which will provide laboratory and training for the laboratory handling of the testimonies, the data collected will provide support for studies of river catch indicators as well as the ecology of landscapes and their conservation dynamics current, because understanding the past of a certain area, it is possible to establish technical-scientific parameters for a more efficient conservation for the future.
