Abstract

Knowing about the space-time variability of the precipitations of a given location is of great relevance, since rainfall interferes directly and indirectly in society, for example in agriculture, tourism, water supply, availability for energy generation and among others. The aim of this research is to perform a temporal and spatial analysis of the rainfall of the Ribeira de Iguape Valley, located in the south of the state of São Paulo, from 1970 to 2017 of 19 pluviometric stations distributed in the upper, middle and low Ribeira. In the temporal analysis, the data will be treated with descriptive statistics in scale, monthly, seasonal (rainy season and dry period) and annual. In the spatialization of these data will use the kriging interpolation method. This type of spatial and temporal analysis of rainfall in a region makes it possible to understand its climatic dynamics, helping to identify rainier periods and their relationships with geographic space.
