Abstract This research aims to investigate the presence of the political and the social in the recent Brazilian cinema, from 2012 to 2017, analyzing it from the perspective of the anchorage that the films realize in their context of critical circulation, and the interlock, the identification or the projection with their spectators, and also in the way as they articulate their audiovisual deliberation. In this sense, it intends to understand the reception of the films in their most varied environments and how this mediation influences the perception of their narratives. This study also seeks to investigate the presence of the popular in recent cinema and how it is connected with its roots in the history of cinematography and audiovisual culture in Brazil. Considering the critic of the medias as the axis of analysis, we reflect on the discussions raised by the objects in their social, political and cultural spheres. Finally, in order to find the thematic, the aesthetics and the narratives recurrences, this research considers the dialogues established between the movies and their spectators, in their cultural, social and political domains. | |
