Abstract

The presented research project of scientific initiation has as its theme the multidisciplinary collaboration among designers standing to project coordination models in the context of the building industry modernization. The research aims to investigate the coordination activites and its practice indexes according to the whole architectural design process and between coordinator and consultant designer stakeholders employing the diagram "Fluxograma do projeto arquitetônico de edificações" (ABNT 16636-2/2017) and De Vreede et al (2006) patterns of collaboration.A case study method is proposed according to exploratory configuration. The case-unity comprises the Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Leopoldo Américo Miguez de Mello (CENPES II) desisgn process during 2004 and 2006. The data input consists of interviews with professionals involved in two rounds split by the examination on significant documents. The analysis is composed by the comparison among the models from bibliography, the Integrated Project Delivery (AIA,2007), the documents' information and the perception of the teams. The development of an own communication system, planning phase longer than the usual, the contact with forward stakeholders in advance, high rated synergy among teams and their functional organization are expected.
