Abstract

Technology adherence in human relations is something given, it is essential to reflect how it influences and what are the possibilities, challenges and consequences of using digital tools in intersubjective relationships, especially in psychotherapy. The main objective of this study is to understand the presence of virtuality in online and face-to-face psychotherapeutic treatment, resulting from the use of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Specific objectives are: (a) to understand the experiences of exclusive psychotherapeutic care online (b) to understand how the new ICTs are presented in face-to-face services, especially through asynchronous technologies such as message exchange, e-mail, blogs and chats. Three clinical psychologists will perform one face-to-face psychological care and one exclusively online psychological care within six months. Instruments for data collection: (1) Field diary, prepared by the researcher; (2) Detailed recording of sessions, prepared by psychotherapists; (3) Written account of the experience of psychotherapy mediated by the ICTs, made by the psychotherapist and person at the end of each session; (4) House-Tree-Person Test applied to every four sessions. This is a longitudinal study carried out by the description and phenomenological understanding. The drawings will be analyzed in the phenomena-structural approach. An undergraduate course will be structured for reflections and research on the subject. It is hoped to contribute to the construction of knowledge and new guidelines to psychological practice, especially to psychotherapy and the application of graphic-expressive instruments mediated by technologies and also that this study is an invitation to the multidisciplinary interlocution between psychology, psychopathology, technologies and philosophy.
