Abstract

Hepatic Cirrhosis (CH) is characterized by the disorganization of the lobular architecture of the liver, defined histologically by fibrosis and formation of regeneration nodules. Its main causes are hepatitis B and C virus and alcoholic liver disease, and its prevalence is directly proportional to these diseases in the general population. The significant increase in chronic diseases, including CH, has led to changes in medical practice and health systems, with the informal caregiver occupying this scenario as an important role due to family ties or having some level of closeness to the patient. In assuming the function of daily care, in general, not always as an option, because it is the patient who elects him. However, the overload generated by informal caregivers due to uninterrupted care occurs at different levels, affecting their quality of life and even the patient's prognosis.
