Abstract

Within the thematic project Pro-Planta (FAPESP 2015/50162-2), we intended to synthesize seven alkyl gallates (scale of more than 50 grams), previously described by our group as potent inhibitors of Xanthomonas citri, the etiological agent of citrus canker (Silva et al., J. Bacteriol., v. 195, p. 85-94, 2013). Such compounds will be used to develop microgels able to attach to citrus tissues and protect the plants against infection.
