Abstract

This project aims to set the guidelines and justification for the development of research activities overseas, to be held at University of Bologna, Italy, under tuition of the professor Matteo Casari, director of the Archivio Kazuo Ohno. The intended activities continue and unfold an initial contact already made in the year 2017 with recorded materials stored at this archive and also at the Tanztheater Wuppertal office, in order to enable the researcher to consult more consistently those records, to access them more repeatedly and continually, along with other activities that may provide theoretical deepening, research exchanging, and the internationalization of the project.Different kinds of activities are planned, including, the consultation of archives (focusing on video records of performances), watching live performances, making of interviews, attending to courses and events, meetings with the tutor, visit of Kazuo Ohno Dance Studio, bibliographical research and partial writing of two chapters of the dissertation. The development of such activities based on a partnership with the professor Matteo Casari and with the University of Bologna is also a way of continuing and deepening an initial relation and contact made in 2017, in order to expand possibilities of exchange and cooperation with this scholar and this institution.
