Abstract

The advent of resistant microorganisms has been growing progressively. Considering that the combat or even the inhibition of the development of resistance, is a major current concern, there is a lot of talk about the creation of new classes of antimicrobials, and about the rational use of existing classes. Therefore, this study intends, to assess the microbial growth in surgical sites of dogs during contaminated surgeries, performed in "Governador Laudo Natel" veterinary hospital. In addition, intends to assess the susceptibility of these microorganisms to main antimicrobials used in veterinary medicine.
