Abstract

The purpose of the research is the theoretical reconstruction of the relations between the critical theory of Theodor W. Adorno, especially in his elaborations during the 1960s, and the emergence of the so-called Neue Marx-Lëkture, whose origin is characterized by the works of Hans-Georg Backhaus and Helmut Reichelt, both disciples of Adorno in that decade. To do so, we will examine the specific confluence in the origin of the new reading between Adorno's thought and the rediscovery of Marx's mature critique of political economy by the disciples of the former. The research intents to show that the conception of critical theory as reconstructed by the new reading is the result of the constitution of an Adornian tradition of interpretation of Marx's value theory. At the same time, from the divergences in relation to Adorno's thought, we intend to reveal how a specific critical model of that reconstruction could emerge. (AU)
