Abstract

The research aims to reconstruct the meaning of the Adornian dialectic as logic of disintegration (Logik des Zerfalls) through an investigation of the criticisms elaborated in the Negative Dialectics to the categories of the G.W. F. Hegel's Science of Logic. It is sustained the perspective according to which Adorno's immanent critique of the idealist dialectic does not abandon the main categories that set Hegel's thinking in motion, but above all intends to transform the idealistic character of that dialectic by means of a materialistic emphasis that re-actualizes it as negative. Starting from the hypothesis that the contemporary sense of the Adornian dialectic mobilizes, through the same categories of the Science of Logic, however, in critically modified epistemological relations, a new type of logic: a logic of disintegration. This logic would at the same time contain a critique of the idealist dialectics - of its logic of conceptual domination, engendered by the absolute identity of reason - and the position of a negative dialectics, committed to the disintegration between subject and object, which purpose would be to highlight the nexus between theory of society and theory of knowledge, key to the reconstruction of the meaning of Negative Dialectics itself.
