The shoulder joint is one of the most overloaded joints on the supine exercise, one of the exercises of the sports modality Powerlifting. As a result of this, there is soreness manifestation in the practitioners in this modality, which may be indicative of an imbalance of muscle strength, among agonist/antagonist. The objective of this present project, cross-sectional design, is to evaluate muscular strength (and your different manifestations) at the internal and external rotation movements of the shoulder joint in Powerlifting practitioners and physically active subjects using the isokinetic dynamometer. The sample will consist of 30 individuals, divided into a group of Powerlifting practitioners (n=15) and a group of physically active subjects (n=15). Measures will be taken in two days. 1) Explanation of research procedures, anthropometric evaluation, and familiarization in the isokinetic dynamometer. 2) Main session, tests at the isokinetic dynamometer, an accomplishment of max efforts, in the following speeds: 60/s, 180/s, and 300/s; in the isokinetic dynamometer Biodex 4-Pro System (Biodex Medical Systems®, USA).
