Abstract

The present proposal aims to evaluate the effect of tactile stimulation in pre-calving Dairy Gir cows on their behavior, production and reproduction during lactation and to use precision techniques (infrared thermography and rumen-rumen devices) to evaluate events (Process 2015 / 24.174-3), as well as to evaluate the oxidative stress of Dairy Gir cows in the peripartum period through the analysis of serum cortisol and antioxidant enzymes. Additionally, the fellow will assist in the execution of another research project developed by the Dairy Cattle Research Center, also funded by Fapesp (process 2015 / 25.758-9) and project submitted to the MCTIC / CNPq No. 28/2018 - Universal / Track C (protocol 1515138848655893) call, entitled " Genomic Wide Association Studies for the Fatty Acids Profile in Milk of Zebu Milk Breeds". The postdoctoral fellow should also compose a team to prepare and send a project in the area of analysis of genomic data for complex traits in milk cattle, titled "Studies of genomic wide association involving complex traits in bovine milk".
