Abstract

The Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil completes 30 years in 2018. It is known as the Citizen Constitution for symbolizing Brazil's return to democracy, expressly guaranteeing a series of fundamental social rights. The purpose of this project is to: a) Map and seek to understand federal and state legislation regarding the right to food; b) To analyze the impact of constitutional amendment no. 64/2010 on the basis of changes in the legislation on public policies in the State of São Paulo; c) We intend to collaborate with the reflection on the constitutional legislative effectiveness and look for elements to identify if the amendments that alter the constitutional text are used as a way to generate new rights or also as a way to strengthen the existing ones.
