Abstract

Due to industrial demand to perform tests that pose as objective to analyze the structural integrity of any mechanical structure, even with high geometric complexities, the research related to this area received high financial investment. Inspired by the biological immune systems, appear the artificial immune systems (AIS), which use computational methods of SHM. It is called Negative Selection Algorithm a method used in AIS which aims to analyze the structural integrity and can be divided into two stages: census and monitoring, being that such a method was formulated from the analysis and observation of negative selection the body's T cells that occurs in the thymus. As an integral part of SHM, it is necessary to mount the bench correctly to simulate actual conditions of use. As a next step, Data Processing and Feature Extraction methods are applied in order to allow the application of the intelligent algorithm in the future and to validate the experiment. (AU)
