Abstract

The synthesis of the complex [Eu(hfa)3(H2O)2] also provides the dimeric complex [Eu2(hfa) 4 (u-tfa)2(H2O)4] as a byproduct of the reaction. In the present project we intend to monitor the reaction in situ by photoluminescence, evaluating the spectral profiles of the trivalent europium ion associating them with the mentioned complexes. It is expected to understand the experimental conditions in order to control the reaction conditions to obtaining the monomer or the dimeric complexes.
