Abstract

Around the 1970s the medium-sized cities to exert role at the urban areas, growing faster than the metropolises: the inner cities of the state of São Paulo began to show this organization, innovations and a solid socio-economic base. This Scenario justifies the project that is being developed at the level of scientific initiation, having as finality analyses the development of the industries in Presidente Prudente - SP, since the industrial (outbreak) in the first half of the 20th century, to the consequents crises of 1980 and 2014. Thus, we seek to understand the distribution of the industries in this territory and bring a survey of definition and paradigms that could allow us to analyses what happened at the city.
