Abstract

This project comprises a one-year long research internship in France, included in the main PhD project, 'Os Quatro Elementos: retratos das filhas de Luís XV por Jean-Marc Nattier', funded by FAPESP. This research is focused on the four portraits of the eldest daughters of Louis XV by Nattier, owned by the Art Museum of São Paulo. The period in France will be spent researching primary sources and creating an iconographic inventory of Mesdames filles de Louis XV. (AU)
