Abstract

Introduction: Eating disorders (ED) are characterized psychiatric disorders by dysfunctional behaviors and attitudes regarding feeding and image body. The practice of physical exercise (PE) is often used as a strategy to inadequate weight loss by individuals with AT, which may Your health. Objectives: To evaluate the practice of physical exercise and bone mineral density (BMD) in women with anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN). Methods: Cross-sectional exploratory study. The study is being carried out in partnership with the Eating Disorders Program of the HCFMUSP Institute of Psychiatry (AMBULIM). Women between the ages of 18 and 49 are invited to participate in the survey, pre-menopause, with current or previous diagnosis of AN and current BN. the data collection consists of an interview, questionnaire application, anthropometric evaluation, bone densitometry and blood collection for biochemical evaluation. All participants of the study will sign a free and informed consent form. Statistical analysis will be performed by comparing averages and correlation tests for identification of risk factors or protection for BMD. These analyzes will be performed in SPSS 21.0, being considered significant when p <0.05.
