Abstract

Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites emerged as potential photovoltaic materials due to their low cost andhigher conversion efficiencies. Pick 'n' Mix chemistry of organic and inorganic ions results in myriads ofexperimentally reported perovskite structures but still the highly efficient and stable lead free perovskites notyet found. Although several solution processing methods were developed but there are many less understoodchemical and physical phenomenon in the formation of perovskite crystal from its isolated octahedral complex, for example: (i) the acid-base interactions in nucleation of perovskites (ii) the capping ligands effects information of perovskite quantum dots (iii) optical properties and its relation to dimensionality of perovskites. Inthis project, our purpose to study the geometrical and optical properties of perovskites for its use in photovoltaicapplications.
