Abstract

Irrigation has been developed for centuries by mankind and currently more than half of the food production comes from irrigated areas. In addition to the guarantee of crop productivity, irrigation brings socioeconomic development to the region where it is installed, so it is necessary to increase irrigated areas together with good management of water resources to guarantee multiple uses of water. This work aims to update the database of irrigated areas by central pivot in the Northwest Paulista region until December 2018 at the level of municipalities and river basins and also estimate the incremental evapotranspiration of the region between 2010 and 2018. For this will be used images from satellites Landsat 5 and Landsat 8, processed in the ArcGis Software to quantify the irrigated areas and to estimate the current evapotranspiration will be used the algorithm SAFER - Simple Algorithm for Retrieving Evapotranspiration, which is based on the modeling of the ETa / ETo relation. The data will be discussed from tables and georeferenced maps.
