Abstract

The growth is an important aspect when evaluating the general health in children and adolescents. Many disturbs can harm it and result in low stature, resulting in one of the main reasons why pediatric endocrinologists are looked for. With improvement in medical knowledge, cases that, until now, didn't have treatment indication, nowadays, started to have, including hormonal reposition. That is why, the present study is looking to evaluate two years of treatment in patients that suffer from low stature in the ambulatory of the adolescent and children in HC Criança vinculated to the Clinical Hospital of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo. As a second objective, it is planned to produce a protocol for the service, making it easy to indicate the treatment for low stature and reducing the cases that may cause doubt.
