State of art and scientific gaps on cleaner production: a bibliometric study

The increase in the consumption of goods and services around the world has increased the negative environmental impacts of industrial companies. Consequently, the concern with these impacts has increasingly appeared on the international agenda, intensifying the pressures for companies to use sustainable solutions. One of the solutions most used since the '90 is the Cleaner Production (CP) methodology. However, the CP study appears more only in the last ten years. In this way, it is important to make governments, companies and universities aware of the importance of making improvements in this area. The objective of this work is to identify in the literature the level of development on the Cleaner Production methodology through the analysis of the state of the art and to identify the scientific gaps of the theme. A bibliometric study of the 30 most cited articles of the last five years (2013-2018) on CP will be done. The Scopus and Web of Science databases will be used. This work intends to map the state of the art on CP; identify the main gaps and identify research trends. With the results it is intended to submit articles for scientific journals and congresses in the area of Production Engineering. It is also pretentious to hold a seminar for the university community of the UNESP - Faculdade de Engenharia de Guaratinguetá.
