Abstract

In the world scenario, the coffee culture is among the most commercialized and profitable products, representing a source of income for several countries. The species Coffea arabica L. stands out in the coffee industry of Brazil, having great importance for the economy in the contribution as a positive agent in the Brazilian trade balance. In view of this economic importance, the objective is to evaluate and adapt new technologies applied via soil for sustainable coffee production, in order to generate information that contributes to the technical innovation of the crop for the Ribeira Valley region. The experiment will be installed in March 2019, at the Experimental Campus of the Paulista State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP, in Registro - SP. The experimental design used will be a randomized block design consisting of six treatments, four replications, with plots of six plants, being considered as a useful plot only the four central plants, in spacing of 3.0 m between rows x 0.60 m between plants. Four doses (200, 300, 400 and 500 kg ha-1) of a mixed fertilizer 20-05-20, of controlled release in six months, will be used for coffee in formation and production, compared to the dose of 500 kg ha -1 of the conventional mixed fertilizer 20-05-20 and a control treatment, which will not receive NPK fertilization, in which it will be installed to ascertain the contribution of soil fertility. The characteristics of stem diameter, number of plagiotropic branches, plant height, number of nodes of plagiotropic branches, length of plagiotropic branch, crown diameter, vegetative vigor, leaf growth, leaf area index, nutritional analysis and method of growth are evaluated. chlorophyllometer. Statistical analysis will be performed using the Sisvar software (FERREIRA, 2000). The mean data of the evaluated characteristics will be submitted to analysis of variance by the F test, the means of the doses will be submitted to the regression analysis, and the means of the conventional treatment will be compared by the Dunnet test at 5% probability.
